With over 30 years of experience Jody Totin, President and founder of Totin Builders, is no stranger to the building industry. Following his graduation from Youngstown State and Penn State University, where he earned two engineering degrees, he decided to start his own company. So, in January 1989 Totin Builders was born. It was soon thereafter that Totin Builders began specializing in tile, slate, and metal roofing. In that time frame, Totin Builders has established itself as one of the leading installers in the state of Ohio doing everything from residential homes to large commercial jobs.

Through Mr. Totin’s continued experience in the roofing industry he has also developed his own line of heavy duty snow guards. In 1999 he was awarded a United States patent for his distinguished design (Patent # 5,943,826). These snow guards have been sold all over the United States and as far away as South America and parts of Europe.
